taking off the tps (s5)
im swapping my out of spec tps for a new (to me) one. i cant get the bottom screw out of the bracket to take it off though, theres almost no clearance between the bottom of the tps bracket and the LIM...
anyone accomplished this? any tips? i REALLY need to put this 'new' one in, ASAP
also, i dont know if its this way stock, but feeling underneath, its not a 10mm bolt like the top part of the bracket, i feel a standard screw... not a bolt...
thanks

No, you dont need a new gasket, it's pretty easy to take out.
How long? 15 mins if you're mechanically inclined, for the first time, I'd say.
Take off two nuts for the air elbow, take off four for the TB, roll it on its side and take off the TPS No unhooking of cables

should i put any prep on the gasket when i put it back in? its really thick...
(i never had the TB off so im clueless to this)
while im in there it wouldnt hurt to clean the plates real good too... this sounds like one of my usual 15 minute projects that snowballs to 2 hours because i keep finding other fun **** to do
also, while im in there, my accelerator cable has about 1/2" of slack to it, the pedal bounces and floats around unless im on throttle... the fsm says i can adjust it with nut 'A' ... but doesnt say how... like i said, i learn better from experience so if youve ever done this, drop me a hint will ya
thanks

Hrm, it's easy to adjust, but hard to explain, so I just reccomend looking at how it's hooked up, and thinking about it, I'm sure you'll figure it out
Nah, you dont have to prep the gaskets, and you shouldnt have to clean the thing out if you've had a good air filter on it
