Was taking a look at the car recently

I finally got the batt fully recharged, yes the batt or the alt is bad not sure but it goes dead after a few days . So I turned it over and it idle'd low like 1K rpm then roise up and I was looking at the exhaust, it started to smell sweet and got thick like a wall of smoke going into our mustang behind the 7, then then it puffs like sucked in the white smoke and idled weird like spitting out more and more then after about 5 mins no more heavy smoke and the idle was at 1.5K I played with the throttle and got the car to idle really low, didnt have time to go in and turn it off so I just let it stall like it was about to do so, when I went to turn it on later this odd problem arose that I had before

The annoying as **** clicking!

Someone please tell me what the hell this is, the car's been randomly doing it for years and now it just came back . Ok so it comes from the passenger side, its almost such a click that you can feel, hard to explain but the belts go in sync with it....sometimes....our belt system is messed up anyhow but it clicks....its annoying and it just started happening when the car stalled.

I also wanted to see what happens when you disconnected the idle arm, the thing that adjusts the idle when you start it, the car just went to 1.5K again =/ BUT the automatic HOLD light was flashing on and off and the clicking was even worese....I was afraid the car was somehow going to put its self in gear haha.

So is the CPU or w/e bad? This clicking just is soo awkward, its kinda like the clicking sound you hear when you turn on the AC or air not sure if its just the AIR or air with the AC turned on, but one of them makes this CLICK sound.

Also is it normal for the radiator filler neck to have bubbles comming out of it like 1 ever 2 seconds or so just a bubble and when you rev it alittle the level drops like I mean if I just open the throttle up and let go coolent will shoot out...=O

Just curious on these questions =/

try taking off the belt to the air pump if it still has it. See if it still makes that noise. just a suggestion.

white smoke like you described means blown coolant seals.........when the seals are damaged they have cracks or tears....when the car is cold coolant seeps through the crack so when you turn it on the smoke gets burnt in the chamber..............once the engine is hot enough the seal will expand and coolant can no longer seep through the crack.........

the bubbles you mention also point towards blown coolant seals........

you need to tear the motor apart to get to the seals.....most people decide to rebuild THEN since everything will be opened up. (this is where some ppl get their "rotaries are unreliable cuz you rebuild all the time.")

i don't understand the clicking..........

is the clicking only happening when the ignition is in the ON position and the engine has stalled?

So when you turn your key to the "Start" position (farthest one, as in, trying to "start" the car), it clicks?

Check your battery terminal connectors. Are you getting 12V in the ACC position? ON position? Start position?

The clicking is most likely a relay. If it is doing it often, you should be able to locate it by ear and feel.

You said that the seat belts go with it, I think that you must have an 89-91 and have the automatic seat belts. If this is that case, and the seat belts move in coincidence to the clicking, pull the seat belt fuse in the drivers kickpanel fusebox and see if that stops the clicking.

If it does, you need to look into your door switches and maybe replace that relay. Unless you don't mind unfastening your seatbelt at the top every time.

The first paragraph is still valid even if my conclusion on the seat belts was wrong.

It may also help if you explain whether or no this happens with the ignition on but engine off, all the time, or only when running.

The cooling thing sounds like a far worse problem.

Yea the clicking could be a relay or a loose connection like the ground that goes to the starter, or a loose battery connection, to a very large short which could discharge the battery.

Or the battery could just be bad, which it sounds like is a good possibility since it dies after a few days. I would take it too autozone or similar and get it tested, and get a new battery if needed. I wouldn't spend my time chasing the clicking problem until I get the battery figured out as low power can cause some weird things to happen.
