Tail light problem/ "stop" warning light on

Hello rx7club. Haven't posted anything in a while, because I haven't had any problems I couldn't fix, which is great. But I can't figure this one out, any ideas? Here's what I know:

The "stop" warning light is coming on when I brake.

The high mount bulb is the one not illuminating.

At first I wiggled the connector and it was doing it sporadically for a few days, then came on consistently when braking.

The bulb was changed about a year ago, because it was burnt out.

This bulb didn't appear damaged or burnt out.

I replaced it with a new bulb.

The "stop" light is still coming on when braking.

I feel like it may be some electrical problem, but I do not know how to diagnose it.

Thanks for helping me out.

check the wiring and contacts to be sure no wires are rubbing through onto the chassis, frayed and touching together and the receptacle socket connections clean and free of corrosion.

Sounds like low brake fluid.
Check the obvious first before digging deeper.

The Brake warning light has a "dual purpose," but the Stop light function is just for a damaged bulb or a malfunctioning circuit.

****... he said stop warning light. I thought brake warning light.
Have someone check if your brake lights are coming on . May be the bulb or wires .
