TX Tachometer ?

When the car is parked it works fine but when it is moving it stops working? Could the TPS be loose and not connect properly? If it is not that what else might it be any ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

well your TPS dose nothing for ur Tachometer but your PM gen(Distributor thing) that gives your tach but if it was going bad your car would die so its from your ECU to your Cluster. Well i would check the connection first the try trade out your cluster and c if it still has the same problem

The signal for the tachometer comes from the trailing coil. Sounds like the coil is not getting a good ground. Check that the nuts that hold the coil are tight, that is how it is grounded.

It's likely just the plug that connects the trailing coil to the harness. It's dirty, damaged or loose.

It is just a plastic plug that keeps the 2 together. I saw another plug but it has a hole and it is like the other 2 plugs for the starter is it that? Or am I missing this completely It was in the back corner of the engine bay, drivers side behind the master cylinder.

It's a white 4 connector square plug. There should be a locking tab keeping it connected.
