Tach issues

Hi all, quick question - can someone walk me through from the Tach through the yellow/blue wire to the trailing coil. Does the signal go through the ECU and make any other stops or essentially straight through the firewall from the tach to coil? If that makes sense.

Long and short - tach's not working and has been rewired on my car for a multitude of reasons, I'm trying to walk backwards and figure out where the signal's being lost. Any input is great. Just got the car back up and running, its one of the last bugs to work out. Thanks again!

Cheers!

Make sure the trailing coil is actually working... thats where the yellow/blue wire gets its signal. Straight from coil to meter.
