Tach buzzer at 5,000, wtf!?

Okay, today my FC just started freaking out a little. I was really making it move, going through the gears. First gear, 5,000 RPM beeeeeeee..., shift. Second gear, 5,000 RPM beeeeee....., shift. Third gear, and fourth too! This happened everytime I would do it, about 6 times, maybe. And suddenly, it stopped with the buzzing at 5,000 RPM, and started doing it at 7,000 RPM. What's the deal?

one or more of:

low coolant, low oil, mis-firing trailing coils, or tach buzzer adjustment out of calibration

I noticed something strange on my car when I had the EGR block-off plate leaking- the tach buzzer would go off at about 6500, and when the leak was fixed it went back to 7000 or so. Coincidence?

Don't ask me what a vac leak would have to do with it, lol...
