I am thinking about getting a t61 turbo and was just wondering if the spool will be laggy because of the big size. The hot side is 1.15 which i heard is pretty big. The setup will include my current mods listed below, but the engine will be with judge ito's street port. This will be with an HKS manifold.

1.15 divided hotside?? Hmm, from what i remember hks cast manifold only came undivided (flange) for 87-91 turbo application. Might wanna look into getting at least a divided exhaust manifold so turbo could spool better if not use a .96 a/r turbine section with hks manifold. Hope that helps a bit.

Your right, I have only seen one style manifold for the FC turbo app, and its the log style undivided.

You can use an FD manifold (divided HKS) but it costs like 1200$ and on top of that, the turbo will not clear the LIM on the TII

well so you know I have a 1.15 hot side with divided flange and its rather Laggy, but Still when she kicks in its a hell of a lot of fun

It depends on what you define as "laggy". You can always take off the 1.15 housing and get a smaller, collected housing to match the HKS cast manifold.

yeah I have the HKS undivied cast manifold and I am waiting for my turbo to get here in the mail so I was just fabbing it up with a 1.15 divided backside I had at the house and I was having a hard time getting the bolts to line up. The damn hex heads hit the manifold and if you try the other way the hex heads hit the backside housing?

I have a friend that has one ,but its ball bearing it spools up about 300-3200 rpms
its pulls like a **** though and I would seriously suggest buying one. I might be buying his set up b/c hes going t-88or t51r route
