I Have a TO4E and I am just wondering how much in/out shaft play is tolerable? the blade does not touch the housing or anything and there is no up and down or side to side, but there is minimal in/out. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks alot.

 

Define tolerable...

But basically if its not touching the housing the turbo will work, but it might blow a bit of oil.........I say use it and if the thing is smoking like Ed the sock then have it rebuilt.

 

yea i have been using it and theres no oil its only about 1-2 mm in and out not alot. i was just wanting to make sure it was alright. thanks for the help.
