Hey, I need a little help trying to figure out what kind of turbo would be right for my car. I am a BlackHawk mechanic for the Army and I have a 88 FC and I plan on getting a Turbo II swap sometime very soon. I was looking through craiglist and I found a T4 Hybrid Turbo for $325 wich in the description says is good for rotaries. Here is the actual description:

This turbo is brand new, still in the box. It has Garrett internals and has never been used. This is an oil cooled twinscroll turbo. I am selling it because I've decided to go supercharged. If the buyer wishes I can also add in an external wastegate for a little extra. I also have an exhaust flange that will come with it. $325. Willing to ship but price does not include shipping.

Turbo : -oil cooled
-twin scroll
-0.60 a/r cold side
-1.15 a/r hot side
excellent for rotary engines

For that price would that be a good purchase for my future swap? I really am just starting to get really involved in this so I am trying to put all the pieces together so forgive my ignorance. I really don't know what kind of specifics would me required for the rotary or to much about turbo sizes and specs. If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

 

guaranteed ebay knockoff and/or unsuitable for your setup. stay away.

go to the Single Turbo forum and read all the archive posts and everything. also look into BNR turbos if you just want power in the low 300s
