i had a very similar problem. Once it hit 5200 it felt like it was hitting fuel cut when it was under boost. If i just slowly went up with no boost it wouldnt happen. I thought it was my FCD...i removed it and it stopped for a while...I was like ok fine..ill get a new one...But it started again before i put a new one in...It turned out the that the wire which plugs into the bottom of the pressure sensor had tension on it. I found this out because when i plugged the fcd back it i pulled some slack up on the wire, and my problem stopped..i dont know the reasoning for this but it worked. If i were you i would check out that wire and make sure it is not torn or under tension..

Your car must have been getting pretty damn hot. Don't remove things from your car if you don't know what it will do...
