T2 UIM/TMIC on NA

I just want to know if the UIM and TB of a S5 T2 will bolt onto an S5 NA.

Why not just get a TII intercooler (or some other intercooler) and front mount it?

putting an intercooler on a N/a is pointless and will cause performace to drop.

an intercooler on a normally aspirated car would be a HUGE restriction

hmm well. On S4 Na's the secondaries are on the outside near the ACV. so you would probably have to lengthen the injector wires.

The other thing which I don't know about but you would have to confirm is the port placement.

5/6th port vs 4 port manifold ya know?

I hate you, im not either of those, id rather use an ebay FMIC but a T2 one would be cheaper and easier. (i figured)

OK a SC setup would benefit from a TMIC.

It will also make it easier to setup since the TII manifold angles towards the firewall and the TMIC will direct it to aim right at the general place of the SC.

You might want to do a search on UIM swap. I think there was a thread on somethign close to this. You may have to make and adapter plate which will then give you hieght problems.

Actually, the whole t2 intake assembly will fit your motor, you just have to port the LIM and fill in two recessions with epoxy. This would be easier because you wouldnt have to put two new injector bungs in the T2 upper intake.

Has anyone made an intake and filter that can mate with the TII hood for a NA? I need to get a NA for reliability, but love the TII hood too much. I'm planning on putting one on, but I'd like to have some functionality so I can justify it beyond looks.

If it's in the right position aerodynamically, I wonder if you could even get a ram air effect on it.

the biggest draw back to that is port flow velocity, thus the lower would have to be ported.
