t2 turbo coolian lines.
t2 turbo coolian lines.
Has anyone ever tried replacing the water in line from the manifold to the turbo with a steal braided lines and a screw in style connector?
I have a s4 T2 with an s5 turbo but the previous owner did not hook up the water lines. The proprietary water line from the manifold to the turbo is gone and I can not find any where to buy a new one.
Thank you.

You can get new lines from Mazda or Mazdatrix. Or buy used ones from the classifieds section.
Replacing the lines can be done, but will require a bit of fabrication. The turbo side is just banjo bolts which you can get with a socket type connection for braided stainless. Or just use some metric to AN adapter fittings in place. On the water pump side, it is a nipple where you can clamp on a braided stainless line, use a compression fitting, or cut it off and weld on an AN flare. On the manifold side, it is a flange. You need to either weld on an AN flare fitting, or make a flange out of some thick aluminum and tap it for 3/8" NPT, then use a NPT to An adapter.
