T2 Trans on an NA?

Wink T2 Trans on an NA?

Can you Put a t2 Trans on an NA?
cuz i got a turbo for my 88 GXL and it Riped the Tranny and Clutch Apart right off the bat... i just wantid to know if there is a Tranny that can take a lil more.

Yes you can. But don't think you can just bolt just the tranny right in.

You will need a differnet flywheew (T2) and clutch to fit the spline on the tranny. Also custom driveshaft, or use the turbo rear end and driveshaft. A bit of work. T2 flywheen on the NA is kinda not cool either, unless you like doing brake stands rather than going faster

Huh? Whats wrong with a TII flywheel in a N/A?

You'd figure it takes as much effort to answer a question than to point out the search button or yell "Repost!". I figure if you are not going to answer the guys question don't bother. It takes just as much effort.

I did a 5 speed conversion with pretty much the same. ACT prolite flywheel,TII tranny, TII driveshaft, auto starter (they are the same), TII clutch and slave cylinder, and the stock auto rear end. The rear end is just temporary. It will fit the TII shaft as long as you drill new holes in the flange.
