T2 Swap Results Info

okay......i just barely got my t2 motor shipped in and whats the max boost i could go on a stock turbo for both drag and drift and what is the results if i ran a 3 inch downpipe and 3 inch straight pipe (no cat or resonator...just straight) to a hks hi power or a apexi n1 exti???

I ran 12 psi for some time on a stock turbo before it started blowing smoke like crazy. I'd say 10 lbs and below is plenty safe. You can do 12 lbs but it will wear out pretty quickly. I turned it up over 12 but got no power increase.

BTW by turning up the boost, you will need some sort of timing/fuel management. You will also need to port the wastegate on the turbo to prevent a lot of boost creep.

1. Port wastegate
2. Buy 720cc secondaries
3. Buy Rtek 1.7 or other fuel controller
4. Buy Walbro 255 or FD fuel pump & rewire

Don't run 10+ PSI on stock injectors and fuel pump. It'll be fast and fun for awhile, but you'll end up with a blown engine eventually.

S4 or S5 motor....compression test before you start cranking it up.
