hey guys i have a 87 t2 that got rear ended so i am putting my motor into my 86 gxl. i have both motors out the ecu, the knock sensor, map, everything. then i see this white box. in the turbo. its located on the passanger side by the ecu. its a white box and says Motor Failure. 90w 12v? what the hell is that. its not in the gxl. Do i need it? i am doing the swap the long way and getting everything to work instead of just plugging **** in. but do i need the box? and wtf is it for???

 

Knock sensor control unit. Engine ping, motor failure...I guess Mazda humor.

it might be but i checked the FSM and its not in there and i cant see the wires in the FSM either. would the NA not have a knock sensor control either? because there is just the plug in the NA and no box? as far as i know the knock control unit is different?
