t2 swap :auto drive line??

i remember reading somewhere somethign about if you do a turbo II swap into an NA and use the turbo II trany, that the automatic drive shaft will fit into the t2 trany ? and conect to the regular n/a rear end?

is this true? cause getting a custom drive shaft for this is costly where as an auto matic 1 i can get a junk yard for like 10 bucks.

It should work without issue. The only problem is that it may be slightly short. If you can deal with that, then I'd say go for it. This is what I was told at least.

Just use the TII shaft and drill new holes in your flange. Its not that hard. I wouldn't trust TII power to an auto shaft and a N/A rear end.

The auto driveshaft is about 1 inch too short, whcih means it will only mount in about halfway into a Turbo Tranny.

If you can live with half the yoke not in the tranny and not worry about the shaft shearing at the yoke, then Yes you could use a auto tranny drive shaft and non turbo rear end.

But I wouldn't.
