hi guys, are all t2 rear ends the same or is there some years better than others. My ring and pinion is bad and i rather get another. I noticed when i jack it up, i spin one wheel and the other spins the same direction. Does that mean it possi or something.

 

S4 (86-88) have a clutch type LSD, S5 (89-92) have a viscious type LSD.
A clutch is generally better but because of the age and wear of the differential most S4 LSD will be pretty much useless.
