I don't beleve it would take much. Just an N/a header bolter up to the rest of the exhaust, a regular intake instead of the intercooler, and plug/reroute the oil and water lines for the turbo.

im curious about this one too.seems like it would last longer, and being that there would be only 4 ports instead of six, wouldnt it get better gas mileage than an na? i know it would be slower, but still. maybe this guys onto something. cause if you want to run n/a,you could take the turbo off a t2 motor, and stil have the better t2 trans. i dont see how a seal would blow being that the turbo motors have less compression to begin with. you also wouldnt have to worry about the auxilary ports not working. so you could run a header on an s4 and not have to wire the ports open

And why is this?

On the surface, NA'ing a TII is not that difficult. Remove the turbo, block appropriate lines, get an exhaust setup and reroute the intake. However, due to the low compression rotors, the car will be a complete dog. The intake manifold is also optimized for boost, not vacuum.

If you really want to do this, I would highly suggest building a 4 port block with NA (89+) rotors, using a S4 intake (ported) and the proper ECU (NA, 86-88).

Carx7(The 420Hp street beast) did this when he had to pass emissions.

He's running a Haltech so it's alittle different electronics wise but some what the same.

He ran a NA Exhaust manifold and left everything the same.

It was pretty funny since he has this huge *** front mount IC and big piping and then just a Mushrrom filter on the end of it instead of a turbo.
