if you want to know how a real body man would put a FIBERGLASS hood scoop on a METAL hood....listen up
-Grind the hood where it'll meet the scoop...grind the bottom of the scoop (for adhesion)
-using a epoxy based panel bonding adhesive glue the two together
-make sure only a minimal amount of glue oozes out, wipe off any excess
-once it dries first apply short strand fiberglass body filler over the joint
-then bondo and putty accordingly
-drill several holes on the backside of the hood to prevent moisture from contracting and expanding and prematurely faling the joint
-prime and paint it
then you wait for about a year...year and a half when it starts to show marks or the bondo cracks....
then you buy a TII hood
edit: the bottom line is I have done similar CRAP for customers and there is no GOOD and LASTING way to join two dissimilar materials (Esepcially on a hood that goes from 100 degrees while your driving down to 10 or so when its not)
