T2 evil Exaust leak

I recently replaced the exhaust gasket between the turbo and down pipe with its oem counter part and I can still feel it blowing past. The sole reaon I replaced it in the first place.... I scraped away the Improvised gasket that the previous owner used so the surfaces were clean. Is there some sort of compound that I failed to use? Mabey something that I need to lather in that will harden and fill in the gaps as it were? I faintly remember something like that but my mind fails me. Help a brother out in remembering.

I dont want to make the warped call yet. :-( That was one of my original guesses when I posted this I was just hoping I had forgot somthing. Ill try the sealer first. Cheaper than a new down pipe.... Thanks anyways guys

I got this same problem. I installed a Corksport downpipe which replaced my RB and had a gap. I kept torqing the nuts and ended up stripping one. I believe my Corksport flange came warped. Didn't have a problem with the RB. Waiting til' it gets warmer to deal with the problem.

Funny you should mention. Mine is corksport as well. Unfortunatly the prior owner decided he wanted to weld and make the down pipe and pipe that ran where the cats were a single part.
