Need help...it's a 929 ( not rotary )

Please don't bash me for not having an RX7...I could not find any other site for Mazda forums or technical data.

I am trying to help my sister by fixing her 1991 Maxda 929. The timing belt went, and I have it all apart with the new belt ready to go on...but I can for the life of me find the timing alignment marks on the head for the cam sprockets. Where are they? It is a 3.0 L SOHC V6.

Dude, just call up your local mazda dealer and ask to speak to a tech with a few minutes to spare, theyll usually tell you.

THanks for the reply, good idea, but no luck on it.

I called both Mazda dealers in town and their service centers are closed on weekends. Man, I can't even find a haynes OR chiltons on this car!

I figured it out and got it back on the street. Everyone was saying it was an interference engine, but compression was good all the way around and it runs smooth.

Now I have to figure the transmission out...damn thing has no second gear.
