t2 conversion blows fuses. starter problems?

hi guys. long time no see.

my car is a '86 lux. coupe with a t2 swap. it has a haltech e6k. i relocated the battery to the rear passenger bin. ran 1 gauge wire from the battery to the main fusebox, grounded the battery to the chassis.

in between the battery and the main fuse box i have a 200A (!) fuse that keeps blowing. The key can be in the 'on' position and the lights work, the radio works, the int. lights work, but when I turn the key to the start position to turn the starter over, the 200A fuse blows.

the only thing i can think of is that the starter is broken and is grounding out. I have pulled the haltech fuses and the eng inj and the eng ecu fuses from the main fuse box.

i have not checked that my power wires are grounded in the haltech harness, but i believe they're correct. furthermore, since i've pulled all the aforementioned fuses, the power wires shouldn't be getting any power, so they shouldn't be grounding out.

Right? Any thoughts? I am in a crunch for time, so the car might be for sale in a couple days if I can't get it moving.

Thanks,
Victor

probably have the battery wired backwards.

remember the black/yellow battery cable next to the headlight is the neg and the solid black cable next to the shock tower is +.

And please don't bump unless at least 24 hours have gone by with no replies.

Well, the negative terminal on the battery is grounded to the chassis and the positive terminal is connected to the fuse which is connected to the rest of the car wiring.
Or am I misunderstanding what you're saying?

Sorry about the bump, was trying to hit up the night crowd.
