The e housing is a much more efficient housing than the regular b housing. The b housing has been out for quite a number of years longer than the e housing, which was created as a "new" design for a better flowing/more efficient turbo. HP gains are noticeable, especially with a ported motor... The e housing also can support 50-75hp more then the b housing if i remember correctly.

I sell both of these turbos and have great results with them on the Rx7 motors, the 60-1 wheels are definately our most popular T04 turbo that we sell, almost our only t04 that we sell... We sell them for $750. With which ever size housing you prefer... Just go to our website in my sig, bear with it, we are just getting it together .

The wastegate vented into the atmosphere sounds like an open exhaust basically. If you have ever run your car straight off the downpipe, it is about that loud. But only at full boost. You will notice a power gain also as there will be less turbulance in the exhaust, because the redirected air that goes around the turbine wheel will just exit out, instead of being crammed back into the downpipe and mixing with the turbulant air from the turbine wheel.

Finally, a reason for dual exh on a single turbo. One side w/ an engine exh. and the other smaller one for just the wastegate. Ha ha, true dual for the TII-I crack me up

With your Turbo knowledge can you tell me about the turbo i just bought that im planning to use for my TII. Its a Garrett T04B .60 compressor and .96 exaust.. How much horses do you think i will make with 12psi of boost and with full exaust upgrade..E6k and 1600cc to support it.
