T/O bearing roarin-how long till it will give me major problems and need fixed?

Im just wonderin if its gonna get real bad and leave me stranded, but listen to this.It roars as soon as I push in the clutch, but damn, I just got on her so hard tonight, about 3 times from a dead stop tonight I dumped the clutch at about 5 to 6 Grand and redlined every gear up to forth (so about 100mph) shifting fast as hell and she didnt grind even once, and she still chirped the tires in 2nd and third. Since Im gonna drive 1500 miles to Florida in April Im wondering if I should definetely get this fixed.

Depends if u want to keep the transmission. As th T/O bearing goes it allows the Tranny ?Input Shaft to move as torque is applied to it and causing more wear on the main bearing in the tranny.
Park it and wait for your license to be reinstated.

Well lets see. Your car has a known problem that will eventually leave you stranded. And you drive it like this, "...about 3 times from a dead stop tonight I dumped the clutch at about 5 to 6 Grand and redlined every gear up to forth (so about 100mph) shifting fast as hell and she didnt grind even once, "

It is not a matter of when the t/o bearing is going to go. It is a matter of when you destroy it.

You really should get it fixed and find out if that is the problem. My '86 lost its t/o bearing. It happened at an intersection. It sucked. AAA took 2 hours. Also if you are going to replace the the t/o bearing you should replace clutch, presure plate, and pilot bearing.
