Youd just need the LSD itself, and the axle stubs from the viscous. Of course youd need to adjust the backlash and all that good stuff (end of chap 9 in the FSM) Why would you want to though? Viscous kinda...well sucks.

Why would you go from a clutch to a viscous?

Well....If you really want to, and youve got a clutch LSD, Ive got a viscous with your name on it

Are you referring to a coversion for a turbo or non-turbo? If you're referring to an s4-s5 conversion for a non-turbo, than keep in mind the axle stub shafts are different lengths for s5 VLSD whereas the s4 LSD uses identical L&R axle stub shafts. I don't believe that the above applies to the turbo VLSD -- you'll need to check on this. Aslo, keep in mind that only one non-turbo s5 trimline came with VLSD, and that was the limited production "GTUs" model. You'd be very lucky if you were able to fiind a rear end out of one of these.

Your post seems rather vague. Are you asking if an s5 differential (i.e., 3rd member) will swap into an s4, than the answer is yes becasue the differential cases are identical. You could even put a s5 turbo 3rd member into your s4, but you'd need to replace both halfshafts and have a special driveshaft built since the drive pinion flanges are different diameters.

I like the idea of a vLSD. Cant break it!

I'd do a Miata Torsen if I had to do it again tho.
