swapping the twisted TII guts into a GXL

I am having to swap the guts of my TII into another body (twisted frame, bought like that :-) CHEAP CHEAP)
I have found a GXL of the same year (87) with a blown motor for cheap too.....since i am swapping pretty much everything over except the interior, are there really any differences between the cars ? interior design ? i know the gxl has no power windows, but i will fix that......

Also any tips you guys can offer for my restoring project would be great.......

Plus if anyone knows of a CONVERTABLE with a blown motor for sale PLEASE let me know.......

really any differences between the cars
The main difference is the long, vahicle wiring harness, that stays in the car, behind the dash and along the driver side engine bay and fusebox. The main difference with this is that it doesnt carry a boost signal to the instrumnet cluster like a t2 one...so you cant just plug in the t2 cluster cause it wont read boost. Youll HAVE to have an afermarket boost gage. The big harness is not worth swapping out just for this one lead.

Other than that, it all goes right in. Use the t2 ecu, knock control box, boost sensor, wiring harness, and entire drivetrrain. Throttle cable, afm, TID, all that stuff. Youll have to use its exhaust too, at least the part before the main cat.

i know the gxl has no power windows, but i will fix that......
IF it has no power windoes it aint a gxl. ALL gxls had power windows. IF it doesnt have them,. it must be a sport, or a base with a 5 lug conversion.
