Swapping out Fuel Injectors... what should look for??
OK so I ordered 4 new 720cc injectors this week so I (hopefully) can get rid of my hot start issues. I went with the 720s so that I can latter run an upgraded turbo without worrying about running to lean. I’m going to be controlling them with my Rtek..
Anyway I was just wondering if there were any specific types of things I should look out for. I know that I need to lube the O rings so they don’t tear. Should I just use motor oil? Or is there something better? Is there any special trick to getting them out or back in? Stuff like that.
The other concern I have is checking for leaks. Is there a way to test for leaks without putting the whole UIM/throttle body back together? Or do I just have to get it back together and then shine a light under it to see?
I am going to change hoses as needed as well as a few other basic housekeeping stuff while the UIM is off. Although my Pulsation Dampener only has about 15k on it so that is staying.
Any help is much appreciated

things to look out for would be to GINGERLY remove the clips, they are brittle as heck.
Also I always like take a small pick in the connector pin and pry the pin so that it grips the injector pin tightly, not prying the crap out of it, justa little insurance that you will have good contact.
motor oil would work for the O-rings, I installed mine with them on the injector body already, just dropped them in - no issues.
As far as checking for leaks before you put it back together, just prime the fuel pump and see what you get. I don't believe that cranking it over with the TB, UIM removed would hurt anything, but Im not sure - but if you could it would be ideal to crank it over and make the injectors open and close a few times.
