swapping NA for 13b-tt????????????

swapping NA for 13b-tt????????????

How hard is it to swap these two motors? any major problems in the swap???? The place im getting the motor from, nippon motors - out of california (a japaneese market shipper) doesnt send the ecu for mazda motors (damn hondas) anyone know anywhere i can get stock or even aftermarket (besides jet). Thanks for the help.

I believe you have to get the same year ECU as the engine. I heard that the 2000 engines do not work well with the earlier ECUs.

Someone here should know.

The newer engine's will work with the older ECU's. However, many of the engine wiring harness connectors are different so you will have to modify your wiring harness to fit the newer connectors.

will i be able to use the ecu i have now seeing as its not for a turbo motor????? i wouldnt think that would make sense because the ecus for the turbo motors have differeny fuel maps and stuff dont they???????

You will need an aftermarket ECU such as the Haltec, Power FC or Motec. Also, you will need a set of custom engine mounts, and will probably have to swap on the flywheel for the NA. And you'll certainly be exceeding the power handling limits of the NA transmission

So, im digging myself deep into a moneypit with this swap??? oh well, everyother car ive ever had was moneypit too. So its not like its something new.
