Swap Setup Check-List *Open for suggestions*

After doing my research for the swap, I’m beginning to slowly but surely sourcing these parts below. However, if there’s anything that anyone feel that I should add to this assembly (or know that I'm wrong), please feel free to let me know so I can change it.

These are the parts I’m looking to get for the swap.

I apologize if this is an annoyance for you guys b/c this is another “omg… another guy wants to do the swap and doesn’t search..” deal.

I’ve done my research through the forum + fc3spro + teamfc3s and many other resources. I just want some advices/opinions from the experts. Thank you~

- Complete TII Motor + Tranny:
Engine
Transmission 5-Speed
ECU
Harness (from engine to the ecu)
Turbo
Intercooler
Alternator
Starter
A/C Compressor
Power Steering Pump
Intake Manifold
Exhaust Manifold
Throttle Body
Clutch
Fly Wheel
Pressure Plate
- S-AFC + FCD (Seeing that Rtek doesn’t make it for S5 Tii, I’m open for suggestions for alternatives also.)
- NA LSD (Miata TORSEN)
- RB REVII Exhaust
- BOV (Don't flame me, I like the noise)
- FMIC + Pipping
- Greddy Boost Controller
- New Clutch (Open to suggestions, keep in mind I’m not looking for something crazy)
- Walboro 255 Fuel Pump
- Turbo Acc. Cable
- TID (I'm going to cut a Prelude intake)
- AFM
- Clutch Slave Cylinder
- 720cc Inj (All around)
- Drive Shaft (Mechanic mentioned the Turbo - NA shaft on Mazda Trix, I couldn't find it.... )

I’m probably going to port the wastegaste also. Now my question really becomes do I really need a Boost Controller + S-AFC + FCD + Turbo Timer? Or is there something else I can use.

I’m looking to get to 280~300whp through the stock Turbo. Is this something achievable through this setup?

So far, I'm looking to spend 4-5k on the "Swap Project".

Cuz from parts alone we can probably project $3500+

But now with the issue of engine "management/ecu/harness" in hand right now. I'm really considering going Haltech. But then that'll bump the cost of the project.

Anyone has experience with Microtech or Megasquirt? How'd that turn out?

$2,500?? tat sounds good. how do i go about that? cuz what i really don't want to do is to lift the engine out, drop it in, and lift it back out again. tat'd kill me.

and for the harness, it seems like it's gonna be such a bitch to get. that's why i figured i might as well go haltech/microtech/rtek.

cuz from my calculations. even if i just did the swap alone, it would cost me 3k minimum.

Like:
Motor/Tranny(Hopefully Complete) + Clutch + ECU + Harness + Rear End + little things + Exhaust would be like $3,000+ that's why i'm blowing my brains out right now.

Do you have AOL or MSN?

I can help you out with anything you need honestly, and check out the ROtary Ressurections website for what exactly you need.

BTW, look under driveshafts in the Mazdatrix catalog, its really easy to find honestly.

I went with a Microtech when I dropped my S4 TII into my first gen and I gotta tell you, I love the Microtech. Pre-labeled harness so you just cut off you factory harness connectors and attach them to the harness. It only took about three hours to install for mine. Base map seems to be pretty close to acurate for stock injectors, definently would have to retune for the 750cc injectors you have. There is a place on ebay where I got my microtech with harness, software, and cable for about a grand. Good deal in my oppinion.
