Swap S4 turbo into S5 NA chassis?

Would it be as easy to swap in an S4 Turbo motor to a S5 body as it is to swap the S4 turbo into an S4 chassis or is it substantially different?

im worried about the ECU and harness being so different tht it wont be able to run the peripherals like the guages and what not...

Is it possible to swap in the S4 turbo motor and use the S4 ECU and harness to control the engine management and retain the stock S5 ECU to operate the rest of the cars junk?

in essence: using Stock S4 ECU and harness as some sort of "Stand Alone" ECU to control the engine parameters and monitor the sensors in an S5 chassis.

Im mainly asking because im not a fan of Electric OMP's and the 'flimsy" lightweight zenki rotors... or are the S5's kouki rotors... well which ever the S5 rotors are called, i dont like them. its that, and the fact i can get a JDM S4 motor, harness and ECU for ~$1000 to my door.

www.japperformance.com under "Specials". Prices are in AUD. Divide by 1.49 to get USD. Shipping is additional.

God d@#*, another one, after 2 last week.

lol, just giving you ****. I do wonder why people insist on wanting to swap stuff, rather than using what was supposed to be in teh car to begin with, or even something very closely related to that. IT just makes things so much easier.

Your basic options:

1) get an s4 t2 and swap EVERY wire into your s5 chassis, making it an s4 t2 with a body swap. About 1 week to infinity is the time, depending on your motivation and skill.

2) get an aftermarket ecu to run the engine, bolt it in and go. Probably the easiest option for *this swap*.

3) get teh s4 motor, but find s5 t2 peripherals and make it plug and play. You'd need the s5 t2 ecu, boost sensor, TB with TPS, OMP, front cover, and afm. Swap everyting s5 onto the s4 block. A real PIA, not to gain much.

4) just get the right damned s5 motor with above mentioned peripherals already installed, plug and play.

5) cut and splice wires at/near the ecu to try and make it all work.

To answer your questions, s4 and s5 wiring are totally different, and nothing s4 will plug into s5 or vice versa...plugs are shaped differently on the CAR harness, ECU, and ENGINE harness. Since they all must plug into each other, this obviously wont work.

Sounds like this is an NA-->turbo conversion, so here is another.

IM hoping if I post this information enough times, people will start searching/finding it on their own, and perhaps even people might bookmark the links and refer to them on their own.

Quit giving me ****!

i dunno if i want a turbo rotary, but the old lady wants one... im thinking 200RWHP on a GTUs is more than enough for me... i just need to find a good deal on a set of Tein HA's and ill be perfectly content... and she will have to settle for driving the AWD DSM turbo.

thanks bro
