suspension tuning

Ok so i just bought some front and rear strut bars for my 87 TII..i was wondering if there is a special way/order to put them on...i know that you dont just slap them on and call it good but you have to like tune it just a certain way. What is that way? I have a lift to do it with too so how?

i was reading about these earlier today as im looking into which ones i want to get today and tanabe's site says you jack the car up to unload the suspension then tighten the bar (theirs is adjustable) and put it back down...otherwise you dont get the full benefit of the bar...
