Suspension Tech rear swaybar for S4 on S5

Anyone know what the difference is on the aftermarket 86-88 rear swaybar from suspension tech. I can't quite get it to fit on my '90. Anyone know what the difference is between the two bars?

The S5 stabilizer bars have different links. They use a ball joint type link.

If you wanted to use a S4 stabilizer bar, you would need to replace the control arms and stabilizer end links to S4 style. The S4 cars use the rod style links which can be replaced with adjustable stabilizer bar links.

Do you think it would be possible to use an adjustable sway bar link with the S4 bar and the S5 control arms?
