suspension question

my orig. suspension is real sloppy, other than the obvious shocks, what typically needs replacement on the suspension? Do ball joints wear easily? Bushings?
I just need to know what to look for.

Thanks

Have you lubed the ball joints reguarly? Check for play. Otherwise, junk the stock rubber bushings. They wear out over time and have tons of slop. You can upgrade to some polyurethane or other bushings. It will fix most of the slop but you'll now be able to get a better feel of the road (like feeling all the bumps, even the tiniest.) Which is a good or bad thing depending on you.

Oh, by the way. How are you checking for slop? I would check the wheel bearings too just in case.
