Lightbulb Suspension Adjuster

Hello Everyone, I have a question.

The buttons in my 1988 GXL behind the shifter that say "Normal" and "Sport"......What exactly do they do? Do they compress the springs slightly or do they do something else?

My uncle owned the car before I did and he took the ones off the back (still connected electrically). Should i put them on or are they necessary?

Thanks, Many other questions to follow......

wait wait wait...
you can't mean you are driving around without struts in the back?no freakin way...
explain more.

As far as what the button does it sends a signal to a solenoid device that changes the amount of pressure on the fluid in the shocks, which in turn changes the ride of the car..............minimally even when they were new.........

You should search the suspension archives....https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...light=AAS....I did and i found it in 10 minutes, i have an 88 GXL and my AAS was disconnected and replaced with normal struts, but my buddy told me when i got it that it was kinda worthless and i'm better off with aftermarket struts.
