Supernow hub price increase- doubled!!
I had to post this from my phone as soon as I saw it. I've been planning to get these for a while, and saw that they went from 360 to 600+ on rhdjapan. I was planning to get them soon, but am sick of feeling like my dollar is losing value. Where can i get these at the original rate? Talk about inflation!!
wow, prices really went up.
last I looked, the set was around $400.
Considering a brand new hub from mazdatrix is about $500, the supernow set is cheap considering the price lol. Mazdatrix price is for ONE hub as far as I know. $500 each vs $600 for a set.

stock flexy hubs? where's my BS meter..
in my opinion they are overpriced stock-ish hubs with longer studs made of bullshitaluminim for added cost.
look up duralumin, the term isn't even used in today's standard because it is such a common alloy. the stock hubs are aluminum, do not care to find out which alloy because i have never seen one fail. nor does aluminum flex, it breaks.

wheres your BS meter? right here, b@#$%. you can measure my opinion by my FC. oh, and supernows asskicking tskuba time..
the stock ones are cast alum.. these are CNC billet..

so youre saying that a NSX, made out of aluminum, has zero chassis flex? CNC from a solid chunk of alum vs cast with air pockets will have two different stregnths. dont be naive. look at both of them and tell me youd rather have the mazda ones torquing your wheel bearings.. pics of ur racecar or GTFO.
wheel bearings fail all the time, not the hub. the more the hub torques on the bearing, the greater the wear. also, less speed from more friction. you think the manu process in pre 86= whats possible today?
pics of my racecar? i have pics of my TII floating around somewhere, well one is on my mainpage at: rotaryevolution.net if car pics make any difference whatsoever.
anyways, if i saw them failing more often i might be inclined to agree. i have a lot of customers who also race their cars at very demanding tracks such as infineon, thunderhill and buttonwillow very aggressively with the stock "flexy hubs" and haven't heard of any failures of the hub or bearings. bearings may fail, but that is usually due to negligence, mileage and wear and tear.
they're overpriced feelgood overkill, for those with too much money and believe hype. as i gleaned at before, if it makes you sleep better at night then sure, get a pair.
