cooking brakes?

I drove my car to my parents house and just got back home... my rx7 was lacking power and has a major stutter around the 3800 area but after the secondary injectors hit it still feels laggy until about 5500 to 6000 rpm. I got out at my house and observed an odd smell of something cooking... and i came to the conclusion it had to be my brakes. The ebrake is fully engaged at like 3-4 clicks and it usually at 6-7 clicks, also the foot brake is stiff.

Secondaries wired open, no egr, no bac, header, operating temp same as normal, free revs(neutral) fine.

The stiffness occurred after i was heel toe while drifting... idk how braking systems work or what can mess them up, just seeing if anyone else has had this happen or what it takes to fix it.

Sounds like a brake caliber is frozen or your parking brake is not fully releasing, most likely rear since you parking brake is engaging quickly. Jack the car up and put it in neutral, see if you can move the wheels by hand. The parking brake may just need adjusting.

Hesitation was a unplugged vacuum line... had to take the uim off to get to one line. Then leading two wire popped off, thought i had a blown motor but figured it out with a quickness. The front brakes still cook every now and then??? Idk i think the vac line had something to do with it because the brake is getting slightly softer/back to normal.

Id check the guide pins on the calipers. They might be frozen up, nothing a little bit of PB blaster and grease can't fix.
