I think I don't trust any part that I have to put a carb on my car to make work.

You don't have to use a carb. They use to make an adapter to use a weber carb on the supercharger but you can also use some TWM throttle bodies.

Are any of those intakes available? A friend of mine bought one a few years ago but it may have been the last one.

Goto www.rotarymiata.com and look at his pics.

Hmmm, atkins claims you still need a carb on the kit they sell:

and since they own Camden???

either way, you are still ripping out a perfectly good intake and EGI system...

Ya, but the carb'd setup is so much simpler. It is a few steps back in technology, but whatever works best.

Read the Supercharger Q&A:

The bolt pattern on top of the supercharger is a holley style 4 bolt pattern, We can get the throttle body to fit this but have not perfected the injection maps for the supercharger. If you wish to work with the mapping to get it to set right , we could sell you all of the products. The boss likes it when he can send you a set up that has been perfected and ready to use. Kathy
You'll need to go stand alone and tune it, or wait for them to perfect their stuff.

I am dreaming of installing a roots SC after my throttle body using an intercooler before a TII upper and middle manifold, with water injection thrown in the mix to fend off detonation under boost. I would use a compressor unit from a Mercedes "Kompressor" vehicle (they sell for $200ish on ebay) and fab up all the rest. Sound good?

Ice, you need to go check out Camden's website. It looks like they are coming into the 21st century and will be offering FI solutions.

Check out Current Projects, i just hope they get something looking nicer than this when it goes into production. I think a S5 intake extention would look awesome hooked up to their 7" SC.

Water injection is an awesome thing that many people dont ever try. My neighbors Turbo Saab( not sure of the model) runs water injection at around 15psi, and it makes more now than when it was running 24psi.
