Super high idle

Hey guys, So I did a search and really didn't find anything usefull, so I'll post it. Alright, I recently started driving my FC again after it was out of commission for like a month. Now I have an idle problem, even after its been warmed up, the idle will go NO LOWER than 2500 on a good day......on a bad one 3000 RPM. Does anyone know what the cause of this would be? Please let me know.
Thanks!!!!!!!!

I got mine to settle down by adjusting the Idle air mixture..

Top of intake (small blind cap under it is an adjustment screw.. on the top of the intake)

Just remember that if you bounce that too far outta wack and dont adjust the TPS your gonna be bitch slapping yourself repeatidly in the street for causing yourself a headache

Just curious... Is your Logicon unit not working properly in your car? (A/C controls in the cabin)

Worked for me.

Make sure you throttle cable or cruise control cable isn't sticking.

Ok, I'll check this. All but one of the A/C buttons work. Meaning, the light that comes on when you press it, one of them doesn't come on. I think its the one the directs air towards your feet. I'll try 3 things tonight.

1. Inspect the CC unit and trottle cable.
2. Look at the idle control system
3. Diagnose the fast idle screw.

If I'm lucky, my problem will be one of the 3. What type of MPG do you guys get in your FCs?

Cool problem solved.........mysteriously

ok....so I'm baffled, but definitly not gonna bitch.

I took a turn at like 60ish and the idle calmed down from the 3K it used to be at, to around 1300 or so. After that, I just messed with the throttle adjustment screw on the top and got it down to 800ish. So its good now.

My question is.....if you put too much oil in the car, will it idle really high?

Thanks to everyone that gave me advise and pointers!
