Just recently I've got a problem with my (glass) sunroof. It won't close properly. On the passenger site it got stuck. It then needs about a quarter of an inch more to get fully closed. It is really stuck, I can't push it down any further either.

I took the sunroof off and cleaned everything. Then I closed it (before putting the glass on) and everything worked fine. I put the glass in (but kept the bolts off) and it fitted well. Then I bolted on the glass again. Opened the roof, tried to close if, got stuck again. The I loosened the bolts on the passengersite and the roof closed. Tightened them again and the roof won't close...

What could be wrong?????

 

There are two nylon gear tapes, one for each side. They run to opposite sides of the drive gear. It sounds like they are one tooth out of sync, so one side closes to the limit before the other can pull the cap down.
