FWIW, I've seen many people complain that their Sun Roof sticks when attempting to open It. I had the same problem. When I would open It, I would have to push the rear up before the Roof opened all the way. After replacing the seal, I no longer had the sticking problem. Before that, I made the effort of taking apart the assembly, cleaning It, regreasing It etc. To no avail. In my case, as Is In others (likely), I directly attribute the worn Roof seal to be the culprit. Again, In my experience atleast.

Mine was because the motor was dying. Replaced it with a used one, and it still does it, just try to find new parts.
