sunroof removal question

sunroof removal question

hi

is it possible to remove the sunroof on a fc with out damanging it (just want to can all the parts and remove all the dirt)

if so how

Um, yes.

Pull off the inside liner and remove the bolts it lifts right out.

Be sure not to break the inside A-pillar plastics. Replacing them is... er, quite difficult.

i failed at it....they came appart in 3 pieces. They're SUPER brittle with age.

If he is just removing the roof, he won;'t have to remove anything but the roof liner. Now if it's the whole thing, then yes be very carful with all the peices as they are very brittle. And watch the covers fro the screws on the plastic, they break AND get lost easily.

Figured.

Thats why I hammered down the rails of my stuck sunroof down instead of taking them out for cleaning and lube...

I want my sunroof back
