Sunroof Question

Hey,
I bought my RX7 a little while ago and it had the hole for the sunroof but no sunroof. I went to the junkyard and bought one that is electric for a 4 seater (i have a 2 seater) which doesn't fit. My question is has anyone put the 4 seater electric in their 2 seater? Will it bolt in? Will i be able to cut the new sunroof hole and not need to cover up the stock one? Or should i just get and non power one for a two seater? and are there any good aftermarket ones (like CF) that don't rattle under high speeds?

Thanks

only seen power sunroof and there is no difference structurally between 2 and 4 seat only bolt in seats instead of storage. If the sunroof hole is stock then the sunroof should bolt in no problem.

The sunroof is the same regardless of if it is a 2 seater or 4 seater.

The whole body is exactly the same.

The only difference is there is either storage bins or a rear seat. Both of which are bolt in and interchangeable.

You haven't even removed the headliner yet and you think it won't fit? You will be surprised to see what's under there.. If it is indeed an FC sunroof than it has to fit.

The MX3 fits? Wow that's preety interesting to say the least.

Hey,
So i couldn't find a tape messure so i used a piece of cardboard. as seen in the first pic that cardboard does not even fit in the hole and that second pic that sunroof is larger then the caardboard.
To see that pictures go to:

The only thing that i can think of is that an after market sunroof was installed.
Thanks
Matt

Do you have a pic of the whole car? That definately does not look like a normal sunroof opening. Very interesting...I am baffled

looks like an rx7 without a sunroof (factory) and someone hacked in some aftermarket sunroof. If you had someone that knew what they were doing it is not hard to cut and roll the edge down to make the hole for the stock sunroof.

That is an aftermarket sunroof. You would need to replace the whole frame and roof as most of those companies that make those only stay around for a couple of years before going out of biz.

Not stock by any means

I put some more pics up.
So i got the hole cut and half the sunroof bolted in, but there is no place to bolt the side brackets to. If there was another bracket that should be there i will buy it if some one has one. I want back to the junkyard to see how it was mounted in the car that i took it from but they had gotten rid of it 2 days earlier. please help, i am so close to finishing it.
