Sunroof malfunction
Opened sunroof, now it won't close. Checked wiring briefly at switch area around dome lights, connections seem ok.
I've noticed opening has needed a little help in the past.
Could it be the motor failing, where is the motor located in case of replacement?
Also, is there a way to manually close the sunroof?
Thanks

Ya,you have to pop the headliner out which is a sort of Pain in the *** thing to do,but the motor is at the back of the sunroof assembly.
If you pop that Round Cap in the headliner, you should see a Allen type Hole that you put a "allen wrench" in and it will manually close your roof,if you turn it the right way,
Do not use the sunroof switch while doing this.

Try hitting the switch while Outside the car and helping the roof close.I have done this to close my stubborn roof.
The sunroof opens and closes with cables,(and sits on tracks),so you should try and hit it with a silicone lube,as much as it can handle to see if that stops the sticking. If not then you may be in to replace the assembly.
If you need one,PM me.
