sunroof cleaning write-up: Where is it?

Im posting to see how to clean my sunroof because it gets stuck on one side, so I can't open it at all, and im afraid if I do things the wrong way i will mess up interior roof or sunroof. So, anyone think they can tell me where the sunroof cleaning write up is or how to do it.

I just use some of that Duster spray for your keyboard and electronics to blow the debris away and then use some WD-40. Open and close it using the button and push it as need to help it along a few times. Should be fine after that as long as nothing is broken. I do this every once in a while to maintain it. Not sure on a more detailed write-up though.

If it only pulls on one side you might need a new cable. It seems like a huge PITA to take it apart to me. In my old NA I gave up on fixing it. You have to take the headliner off and start pulling **** apart.

I am in the process of fixing mine for the first time now. If you can open the sunroof at all, you will have to pull the headliner down from the front of the sunroof. There are plastic pop rivets holding it onto the sunroof. Pop them off and remove the headliner. There will be six 10 mm (I think) bolts. Take those off and the sunroof will come off, giving you access to the rails. I have not had the time to take the rails off and clean them so that is all I can tell you. Good luck.

Does it come up if you give it a gentle push from underneath on the side that is stuck?

nope, the thing won't move at all, and it starts going kind of sideways, because it lifts up a little cuz one side lifts up, but when the fuctioning side starts to move back, the other one stays stuck. can anyone tel me step by step how to take it apart to see whats wrong?

I put some grease on the tracks everytime I wash the car, and now, the sunroof opens by itself!

The Sun Roof Weather Strip played a role In my unability of opening the Roof. I found by replacing It, with a brand new one, I no longer had to push the rear part of the Roof while simutaneously depressing the button. I guess It gave way to old age.
