Suggestions for wheel size
Suggestions for wheel size
I'm looking into a set of rims but I'm not sure what size I should go with.
This isn't meant to be showy but something for me to appreciate, so larger wheel diameters aren't on the list (i.e. 18").
Right now I have 16x7 & 205/55 tires.
Do you think I should keep the 16x7 size or change it up?
Oh & I've narrowed the wheels down to either Silver Advan RGs or Gunmetal Volk TE-37s on a Black TurboII.
Suggestions are welcome though

for performance you will want to use a light weight 15x6.5 or a 16x7.
Going to a 17 inch or larger will only reduce road holding and suspension reactivity (as well as typically you will loose additional HP to drive train losses, and an empty your wallet).
There are a few 17 inch wheels that are ultra light (under 17 lbs) but they are more the exception than the rule. Of course you still have the problem with reduced sidewall (making the tire/wheel less able to respond to road illregularities).
Most people racing (both track and autoX) use either a 15 or 16 inch wheel.
