Well, it appears its a 23 and not a 24. Damn. Guess I'm going by Sears again tomorrow morning.
Just read your whole post and the rubber band idea looks like it could be a lifesaver. Also, I drained the tranny fluid, but not before I pulled the speedo cable. Tranny fluid everywhere, it wasn't pretty.

Well, I got the engine pulled today with no major problems. Thanks for the help. I'll prob be asking plenty of questions as I get closer to re-assembling it.

Nah, its had me for a while, I just never had a place to do any work on it. The place I rent from doesn't allow you to work on you car (or wash it for that matter) and now I have a garage so they don't know about it.
