successful rebuild

just finished rebuilding my 88 turbo. it was burning tons of oil. i replaced my oil controle rings.
whyle i had the motor out i ported the wastegate removed the twin scroll welded the hole shut and a complete emissions remove
it idles @1200 and has a slight missfire i want to time it to try and solve the missfire but i cant get the idle down any ideas?

yes. idle should be down lower. reted is right, check mechanical things that could cause throttle to be high first.

The slightmissfire I have too, its weird, its like 1 missfire out of like 12 -20 proper fires... weird.

Also, if you did the emissions removal, you probably missed a plug to cap up, check everywhere doubletwice.

Check to make sure you didn't cross your your spark plug wires.

...short story...

Back when I got my first FC, I thought it sucked. I was used to driving a P-Type Supra and the power and acceleration of the FC was a HUGE disapointment to me. Then, about a year later, I put all the right sparkplug wires on the right sparkplugs and it was like a whole new car.

what king of engine damage will that cause/if any?
