subframe compatibility

Hi guys, i'm doing a t2 drivetrain swap and am inquiring as to whether or not it is necessary to replace the NA subframe with a T2 subframe when swapping the rear end, or if i can just swap out the pumpkin?

i'm asking because i have seen more rear ends sold with the subframe then i've seen without

Swaps right in. Subframes are the same and the diff only mounts on the front to the subframe while the rear of the diff mounts straight to the chassis. Odd that you've seen subframes with diff's, it was the other way around with me when I did my swap. I suppose they figured might as well drop the whole assembly and sell it since you have to drop it to make things easy anyways...

thats the diff only... I think you are confused with the diff and the subframe. Re-read my first post...
