sub frame

when i bought my car the front right was hit. me and my buddy have welded all togther and got it lookin good ,, we had to pull the wheel forward about 4 inchs. its all good now but later on i wanna change the sub fram cause thats whats bent. how hard is it to do so. ??i need to pull the motor do i not?

You don't need to pull the engine to replace the subframe. If you have a lift you just need to undo the engine mounts and jack the engine up with the oil pan. IIRC all the nuts and bolts you need to remove are big so no need to worry about rust. Its labor intensive but pretty easy and straightforward to remove. Heres a picture of mine for reference:



Basically looks like engine mounts, steering rack, control arms and the mounting bolts and you're done. Paint the new one so it looks nice
