FD Alt in S5.
FD Alt in S5.
Can't find any information on this. Every thread is on S4s. Has anybody done this? I think I read somewhere that it is easier because the plugs match or something...
I'm more interested in the pulley/mounting setup than the wiring. Does it require washers or anything?

The FD alt mounts and plugs in just as stock- no special washers or anything like that.
The S5 pulley will have to be reamed/machined to fit on the new alternator's shaft which is slightly larger.

Okay so you just tension it up like normal and everything. I got a dual belt pulley for my alt now but it's on the FC alt still. So I buy a dual belt pulley or machine the fc one to fit and I'm good to go.
Last question: What pulleys are drop ins and which arn't? So people will know.
Thanks a lot guys!
